YOUR LEGACY COULD HELP THE MONASTERIES AND CELLS ON MOUNT ATHOS

Introduction

Legacies allow us to continue our work supporting the well-being of the monasteries of Mount Athos and aiding those undertaking pilgrimages to the Holy Mountain.

What is a legacy?

A legacy is a gift in your will that is given to your selected charity or charities. As FoMA is a registered charity, leaving a legacy to us is completely tax-free, ensuring that your gift goes directly to support our work. A legacy is a great way to keep your memory alive and provide ongoing support to causes that are important to you.

Why leave a legacy to FoMA?

By leaving a gift in your will to FoMA you will provide essential funding that we can use where on Mount Athos it is needed most. We are a small, flexible charity that works hard to identify the key areas where we can add the most value.

How do I leave a legacy to FoMA?

We recommend that you always take professional advice when drawing up or amending your will, to make sure it is legal and valid. Under current rules, when you leave a gift to charity in your will, the value of your gift will be deducted from your estate before Inheritance Tax is applied. This means that the gift could reduce the amount of tax paid. If you’d like to leave a gift to FoMA, you will need the following charity details:
