Geron Efthymios of Zographou Monastery (Ευθύμιος της Μονής Ζωγράφου)
Hieromonk Kyrion of Panteleimon Monastery (ιερομόναχος Κυρίων της Μονής Αγίου Παντελεήμονος-Ρωσικού)
Geron Efrem of Konstamonitou Monastery (γέρων Εφραίμ της Μονής Κωνσταμονίτου)

News Reports for 2014

Sept. 11, 2014, Nikoletta Kalmouki, Return of Byzantine Manuscript to Mount Athos.
"This illuminated New Testament, which was copied in 1133 by the scribe Theoktistos and can be stylistically associated with court art produced in Constantinople, is a masterpiece of Middle Byzantine art. We applaud the Getty for their responsiveness to this matter." (Statement by Panos Panagiotopoulos, Greek Minister of Culture and Sports)
Sept. 9, 2014, On Mount Athos a Monk Falls Into a Precipice While Hurrying to Aid Victims of an Accident.
Rescuers soon extracted the two wounded firefighters, who were immediately transported by helicopter to General Military Hospital 424 in Thessaloniki. The monk was found dead.
April 7, 2014, Los Angeles, AP. Getty Museum returns ancient manuscript to Greece.
The museum says it acquired a Byzantine New Testament manuscript as part of a collection.
